Our Journey

Utah Outdoor Therapies is a brand-new treatment center with its first day treatment program starting in April 2025. We have watched so many families face challenges due to the symptoms of mental health disorders and addiction. We have seen families fall apart and even lose the motivation to keep trying. We have also seen employees who give all they have to the point of exhaustion, leading them to leave behind the rewarding careers they love due to the weight they carry as mental health providers. UTOT strives to create programs that bring inspiration and joy, not discouragement and stress. We have worked to develop adventure-based programs that are built to be successful and flexible, to meet the needs of any client seeking help or any passionate worker searching for a career in addiction.
What we Offer
Learn more about how we provide outdoor therapy in a way that works for both the client and the staff at UTOT

Treatment Options That Meet Your Needs
We offer day treatment, IOP, daily sessions, and intensive family treatment. It doesn't matter if you have a full-time job you need to keep or a weekend gig that has to stay to help with the bills. Our goal is to give everyone access to high quality adventure treatment while staying connected to their lives. In doing this, clients can learn how to effectively manage their mental health challenges in their own environment. We also hope to give clients the resources they need to stay clean and cope with their mental health challenges even after the program finishes.
Highly Trained Employees
Our programs are community based, meaning you don't have to live on a ranch hours away from your families for several months. Our programs meet at a designated location near Salt Lake City or Saint George Utah and then are transported by staff to adventure destinations. We aim to leave by 9:00 a.m. and get clients back by 5:00 p.m. for our day treatment programs. Other programs offer schedules like weekday evenings, one full day a week, Saturdays only, and combination schedules. We do this to meet the needs of every client and provide time for meaningful family experiences while receiving treatment.
Schedules That are Centered on Maintaining Your Life
At UTOT our employees have extensive training in outdoor adventure techniques, substance abuse treatment, and mental health treatment for a wide range of disorders. We help all our employees attain these skill sets by paying for their schooling. During the colder months when less programs are running our staff are taking classes to become trained in backpacking, rock climbing, canyoneering, and mental health treatment. All programs run during the peak weather months of the year and take off January, February, and December.
